Hello, I'm Andee! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and read my story! I love food and have always enjoyed spending my time in the kitchen whipping up whatever delicious dish my heart desires. My love for baking started at a young age. I can remember the first time I got to help my mom make homemade peanut butter cookies and I never really quit wanting to be in the kitchen since then. It was a common occurrence for me to dig out the big red Betty Crocker cookbook that housed that peanut butter cookie recipe and get to work baking. Since then, my skills have progressed beyond peanut butter cookies and I love continuing to experiment in the kitchen!
I grew up in a small town in Montana that has a population of less than 1,000 people before moving to Boise, Idaho for college. I studied mechanical engineering and currently work as a full time engineer but I actually almost went to culinary school instead. Prior to discovering engineering, I had dreams of becoming a pastry chef and opening up my own bakery. That's how I ended up here. I love being an engineer but my love for being in the kitchen has never died. I am self taught and decided to start working on my recipe development skills as well as my baking skills all while writing a blog about it.
If I'm not in the kitchen, you will usually find me outside hiking, skiing or paddle boarding, attending concerts, or hanging out with my dog, Olive. She's a German Shorthair Pointer who is a big, crazy ball of energy but also the best adventure buddy a girl could ask for! She's often times found trying to sneakily counter surf whatever items I'm making. Sometimes she's successful but luckily, I'm able to catch her most of the time when she's just eyeing the food, thinking about trying to steal it.
That about sums me up in a nutshell. Thank you for visiting my page. I'm glad you're here!
